I thoroughly enjoyed this. The back and forth between Andi and Alex's diary is fascinating. I did feel like the narrative slowed down when Andi gets "transported" to the revolution. I sort of felt like it was unnecessary to the story to have that element. Other than that, though, I thought Donnelly balanced the two storylines well.
Moderate: Confinement, Injury/Injury detail, Grief, Suicide attempt, Suicidal thoughts, Child abuse, and Child death

This book was really important to me personally as a mentally ill teenager, and I'm honestly not really able to be objective about it. For me, it was perfect. Maybe I'll reread it soon and try to be more analytical about it.

Moderate: Forced institutionalization, Self harm, Medical content, and Murder
