Initially I was a bit disappointed with the character’s voice and the writing (it was a bit too angsty), but then I suddenly found myself finishing the last 3/4 of the book in a day! Sometimes it takes a bit for a writer to find their stride, but that’s what editors are for, so I’m going to put the blame there moreso than on our Lesbian Jesus. I have a degree in Creative Writing so I’m pretty picky, and noticed that there were quite a few punctuation errors. All that aside, this book had my heart racing and had me on the verge of tears multiple times. I can promise anyone who DNF that it is worth picking up and reading all the way through!

Great story about people navigating complex lives. The crooked path of the romance is well set up. It feels natural, and Sonia's is a good reward, one I did not expect.
