4.5 ⭐️ I love a bad ass FMC and that this book picked up where the last one left off. A lot of times with series that are interconnected they tend to do a lot of flash backs to points from the previous book and I feel like if makes it for a long read. Definitely my fave so far in the Cartel Elements series!

I almost didn't finish this one, but I pushed through. I loved book 1, and I really wanted to love book 2, but it started off too slow for me. I liked Lexie and Dante together it just took too long to get them to do anything. The little games Lexie played were needed as it helped them along in their relationship. So many times I wanted to jump in the book and shake Dante because I wanted him to let Ruiz's in on his plan. As usual, his plan back fired. Overall, I liked the book and I'm excited for book 3.

Asia Doesn’t Disappoint

I recently read the first book of this series and was captivated by page one. It never really works out that way for the second book ….. BUT THOSE ONE ATE !!!! I loved Lexi and Dante. My favorite trope is arranged marriage and forced proximity so this really hit the spot for me. Lexie is definitely one of my favorite FMC’s. If you don’t do anything else , READ THIS SERIES !!

I feel like I’ve found a hidden gem in discovering Asia Monet so early in this series. This was a fantastic second book for this series, potentially even better than book one. Lots of banter and action. Was Dante a complete idiot for being so secretive? Yes but I love him anyway.

Note to self: read this when you’re in the mood for a badass woman who’s really about that life! She cut a man’s
