Thanks Fur Last Night is a great fit for readers who enjoy romantic tales of strong, possessive shifters finding and protecting their fated mates in the midst of action-packed adventures.

I am an Eve Langlais fan, however the two other authors were fairly new or new to me. I enjoyed Bearing His Sin, which was comedic and an overall fun read. I found myself laughing quite a bit. Bought By the Bear was slower for me, I think that if it was extended and we had more time to get to know the characters that it would have been more enjoyable. The Alpha was a good short story, with potential. I felt the rush to get everything into the story because it was short and I don't like when that happens. In my opinion Eve Langlais' story was the best.

Sooo......I thought this might be a fun set of short shifter-themed stories. Yes, they were short but fun? While I enjoyed The Alpha and I the most (because the female main character didn’t come off as totally ditsy) the other two stories were not as enjoyable. Predictable plot lines and slapstick kind of humor that just wasn’t that funny...

Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

I’m always up to read anything paranormal and when I saw that Thanks Fur Last Night had stories from Eve Langlais and Milly Taiden, I immediately wanted it. I knew it would be a good anthology and while I hadn’t yet read Kate Baxter, I had heard of her and I was looking forward to reading her “The Alpha and I.” Thanks Fur Last Night did not disappoint — it was absolutely wonderful!

I’ll talk a little bit about the books in the order they appear and the first up is Eve Langlais’ “Bearing His Sins.” It’s been so long since I’ve read one of her books, but once I started reading, it felt like no time had passed at all. I recognized her voice right away and I had such a great time reading “Bearing His Sins.” It had the humor, action, and strong hero/heroine duo that I loved and have missed. It was excellent and I need to read more Eve Langlais soon!

Next up is Milly Taiden’s “Bought by the Bear” and while I loved all of the tales in Thanks Fur Last Night, I have to say that this one was my favorite. “Bought by the Bear” was full of passion, some mystery, and sweetness. The hero was so heart melting and I just adored him. I loved all the characters though and if Ms. Taiden has already written about some of them or if she plans to, let me tell you right now that I am so excited to read about them!

Last but not least, we have Kate Baxter’s “The Alpha and I.” It was sweet and heartwarming, but the danger and heat will get your blood pumping. “The Alpha and I” was such a lovely little story and Ms. Baxter does her paranormal world a bit differently than I am used to and that was so refreshing. I just loved those aspects and I can’t wait to read more of her books to see what else she has up her sleeve!

Thanks Fur Last Night is full of standalones, dual points of view, and happily-ever-afters. It was a fantastic anthology and I completely loved it!

Three fabulous shifter stories that will keep you warm this winter.
Bearing His Sin
Big, brawny, bad-boy bear shifter Cole is an assassin pining for the canceled job next door to Anja doesn’t realize she is his mate until she knocks him on his butt literally and figuratively. He isn’t sure if he wants to kiss her or kill her. Okay, he kinda wants to do both. His lifestyle doesn’t lend itself to having a mate but fate has other plans for him. I roared with laughter at this one.
Bought by the Bear
This story would be just a regular “fake fiancé” by any other author. But Milly Taiden never does what you think she will. I fell for Josilyn along with Xander. This story left me with a smile on my lips and in my heart.
The Alpha and I
Devon is on the run from a stalker and has settled down in a tiny town. She is wary but happy. When she finds a naked man bleeding and passed out in the snow she hauls him home against her better judgement. Alpha werewolf Liam wakes naked in a strange bed which wouldn’t be so bad but he has no memory of how he got there and thus begins the tale of Liam and Devon. I enjoyed the story.

After reading [b:The Big Alpha in Town|36384711|The Big Alpha in Town|Eve Langlais|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1507607048s/36384711.jpg|58075161], I wanted to go back and find the preceding stories from that anthology. My local library luckily had a copy of this anthology, but I was so unmotivated to read it that I had to renew the copy I had checked out 3 times before I sat down to read it! That did not bode well for me actually enjoying this book, and I was unfortunately right, especially in light of how long it actually took me to read this once I got started on it!

Bearing His Sins - Eve Langlais - 2 stars
The worst story of the anthology by far! While I enjoyed Anja's snarky nature, I have to agree with other reviewers that there wasn't much romance here. The story was slow moving and often boring. Was the stumbling block of the book for me, though Anja's grandmother really brought it up from a 1 star rating for me!

Bought by the Bear - Milly Taiden - 4 stars
Arguably the best story in the anthology! I loved Josilyn as a character, and loved how Xander treated her! Story felt a bit rushed at the end, but would definitely like to read more in this universe!

The Alpha and I - Kate Baxter - 2 stars
Another boring story! Things weren't well explained, there was no real romance, and I really could care less about the characters! The only thing I really enjoyed about this story was the descriptions of the setting, as I could really envision the characters acting and reacting within it!

I enjoyed 2 out of 3 of these stories.
Bearing His Sins: was not that interested in at first. But the more I read the more I was hooked. The characters had great chemistry. I loved the grandma as well. Loved that Anja was no simmering miss by any means.
Bought by the Bear by Milly Taiden
a hot short story. Still full storyline in this short story. However, at times I did loose track of the timing in the story.
I liked the main character-Xander. Josie was ok.
The Alpha and I by Kate baxter. I was not interested in this story at all, Not impressed with this author.

I enjoyed all three of these stories. The Grandmothers in the first two were hilarious! For a light, enjoyable read I recommend all three of these authors. Love their stories!
