Taryn has Jace's heart. He has pined after her for the five years since she disappeared. Now Jace sees her in his house. He sees her in a car. She vanishes again and again. Is it his imagination? Is it just wishful thinking?

Taryn has returned. She is on a mission to save her sister. She will do whatever is necessary to save her sister. Jace finds her sitting in a diner. The tension is thick. The tension gets thicker. The drama grows. The questions are many. Jace gets no answers.

Where has she been? Why has she returned? Why didn't she go to Jace from the beginning? Can Jace be the hero she needs? What does she need? With every question the suspense grows. With every question answered even more questions need answering. Mind Blown!!! I thought I had a vivid imagination. Boy, was I wrong. Donna Grant has proven with this story that her imagination is off the charts. Her story grabbed me and took me on a rollercoaster ride of extreme drama.

The author had me devouring page after page. The author had me cancelling my plans. I wasn't going any where until I finished A Cowboy Kind of Love. The story could go in so many different directions. There were so many unknowns. Gotta say I didn't see it coming. The big "it" is jaw dropping. Hold on to your hat, the rollercoaster just added more twists.

As a rescue unfolds I sat on the edge of my seat. The odds are against them. Get ready to have your mind blown again and again. There are so many times that things could go wrong. There are so many shocking moments to keep the reader entertained.

When I finished A Cowboy Kind of Love; I sat surrounded by quiet. I did not want to move on. I wanted to sit and enjoy the calm within. I wanted to enjoy the love that had oozed from the pages. I wanted to show respect to the deep friendships that have made each of the books in the series so addictive.

A Cowboy Kind of Love by Donna Grant is set in small town Texas. Jace is a former military operative who had his heart broken by Taryn, his former girlfriend. She left him unexpectedly in the middle of the night 5 years ago. I have enjoyed books by Ms. Grant in the past. I like Jace, who doesn’t like a cowboy and military in the same man! Taryn, on the other hand, was a different story for me. She seemed unsure of herself and how to get herself out of trouble. This is a second chance romance with suspense and most of the time I love this genre. The writing style and the author, herself, I like. Most of you will like it, so go forth and dive in! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. ****

Fast paced and full of suspense, A Cowboy Kind of Love will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Jace has had a rough time to say it lightly. The baggage he carries from the military is not what haunts his thoughts and dreams. That place is reserved for the love of his life who walked away without barely a word five years ago. Worry and anger have filled his mind and suffering a bit as to never finding out what happened to her yet his love for her has never faded.

Taryn is a woman who would and did do anything to keep her family safe. Taryn got pulled into a world of darkness and crime. The last five years I have taken a toll on her and all she wants is freedom for herself and her sister. When a plan in place and the determination of a headstrong, caring woman. Things are not all them seem in Trayn’s world, making her make quick decisions, on a dime, forcing her to bring the one person into the middle of this mess that’s completely wanted to keep out of it.

Donna Grant rocked A Cowboy Kind of Love hard! I was captivated and enthralled within the first few pages. Jace may be one of the greatest heroes ever written. His sense of pride, honor and loyalty are some of his greatest drinks. His ability to see past things beyond anyone’s control and that his heart continues to love like it never missed a beat. Taryn was not at all anything like I thought she’d be. She was dedicated and devoted and went above and beyond. Stronger than she gives herself credit for. Jace and Taryn together was something quite beautiful. They both were trying to protect each other with every bit of means they had. Taryn learned with the help of Jace that family is not always blood. Their story is not an easy one but it is a very good one. Emotional and heart wrenching with danger looking over their shoulder yet healing and romantic. Twist and turns are all over the place but yet the calvary of cowboys more than willingly takes it on for friendship and family.

While I can honestly say that I enjoyed this story, I wish there had been more time for Jace and Taryn to spend on their reunion and rebuilding their relationship. There is such a tight and deadly timeline through most of the story that they are rushed in their emotional development as they reunite and try to find a way to enact the ultimate plan to save all of them. Jace is the quintessential cowboy badass, with the perfect amount of extra added from his time in the military and I loved seeing him getting to use those skills in order to save his woman. He was just the right amount of alpha combined with a deep and abiding loving nature to make him the perfect mate for Taryn. Taryn is a woman at her endpoint in so many ways and taking the chance to see the man she never stopped loving one last time is the only hope she has for a few moments of happiness, but she never imagined that it would bloom into her salvation. When she finally accepts his assistance and allows his friends to help they make the ultimate battle team, even when confronted with the unthinkable betrayal. The passion between these two was off the charts from the very first moment, even when they were just arguing, but once they allowed themselves the freedom to embrace their emotions again the heat became almost too much to witness. I am very sad to see this series end, especially with a few new characters introduced and some others that didn’t get their story yet, which leaves me hoping for the possibility of a spinoff series in the future. In the meantime I will say I loved every second of this series and the passion and family drama that Donna shared with us, and look forward to whatever comes next. Truly one of the greatest series I have read recently.

I wasn't a fan of this one. The writing itself wasn't bad, but I wasn't a fan of either main character. While I suspend belief pretty much every time I read a romance novel, this one was just way too far out there. Taryn left Jace, she comes walking back into his life with MAJOR drama coming with her, and everything is forgiven with pretty much one conversation. Uh, no thank you. Jace is willing to put his life on the line (and the lives of his friends) after that to save Taryn's sister who basically doesn't want to be saved. While I didn't enjoy this one, I would be willing to read this author again.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

**I received a copy of A Cowboy Kind of Love from St. Martin's Press and Net Galley in exchange for a voluntary and honest review. My opinions are my own and not solicited in any way.**

A Cowboy kind of Love by Donna Grant is the sixth book in her Heart of Texas series this is Jace and Taryn's story. It has suspense, betrayal and a second chance at love for both of them and characters from previous books come together to help Taryn get away from a bad situation. Now I have to confess that I'm a little biased of the subject because of personal family situations but know that it's a story so I kept an open mind when I read this book.

Jace Wilder has been trying hard to rebuild his life but when he sees Taryn Hillman could it be real or just a dream? When she shows up asking for help getting free from the drug dealer who has kept her family working off a debt. Can he help her with not only money but to finally find out why she left so many years ago. There's a lot of twists and turns building up to the end for a climatic ending.

Taryn Hillman tried to protect her family from her father's drug use but when they are taken and have to work off a debt. But when she goes back to Clearview with hopes that asking Jace for help will he help or ? But can she tell all of Jace's friends that it could be the most dangerous thing they do? But the surprise ending will be the most shocking for Taryn no one could predict.

I do like my cowboy romances, and I do like Donna Grant's romantic suspense ones. The last one was intense and brutal, this one was pretty brutal too, but luckily that was most in the past.

Jace is on the road on becoming an alcoholic. He drinks too much, he misses the girlfriend who suddenly disappeared years ago, and his past in the military is always there to haunt him. What I loved about him is that the minute she does show up he is not bitter and argues for days. He just wants her back again.

Taryn has been gone for years, the reason why is dark. And she is desperate to get out. I admired her spirit and her will to just go on and on. Even if it is a dangerous and lonely road.

Then they meet again, and it is like those years apart never happened. Yes it was fast, but this was a second chance. They never wanted to part in the first place, of course it happens fast.

And then there is the danger following her, luckily Jace has a bunch of awesome friends who all are highly trained and willing to help.

I enjoyed it, it felt really light and I listened to it fast.

Estrella is always good, her voice makes the pages just fly by, and she has great voices for everyone

Jace had all but given up that he would ever see Taryn again. It had been years and I was as broken hearted as ever wallowing in alcohol and heartache. Until one night she appears before him and rocks his world. Danger surrounds her and their road to happily ever after will be a fight to the death. Surrounded by his love ones he will fight to keep her safe and ensure they get everything they dreamed of all those years ago.

I feel like you never know what you are going to get with this author and that was very much the same way this book. I feel like in the beginning it seem so twisted but Jace was not going to give up on Taryn no matter what. I feel like there are some tough subjects but the author does not hold back I really liked Taryn she fought hard for what was right and wanted to protect those who she loved. There is adult content in this book so may not be suitable for all. Overall I really enjoyed this book it will totally keep your attention that's for sure. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
