A good book to introduce little children to inspirational ladies of the past. Harriet Tubman was an American Hero who braved danger to help free slaves. I read this book to my 5 year old cousin and she loved it. I think this book should be in schools and library read along for kids instead of fairy tales, if we start telling kids about heroes of the past like this i believe it would broaden their minds to do great things in future.

Cute children’s story about women empowerment and breaking barriers. Maybe better work on the punctuation?

"Our Legendary Ladies" is a series of books that introduces famous females to young children. This includes facts with illustrations about each famous woman. The poetry keeps the attention of the young reader as well.

The first book in this series is about Harriet Tubman. Even though the book is a very simplified version of Harriet Tubman's life, the illustrations provide clues as to how and why her life was very significant in American history. The only issue I have with this book is that it did not explain why slavery was bad.

I recommend this book to readers between the ages of 3 to 6 years-old. I hope "Our Legendary Ladies" continues publishing books for children.
