I liked that the narrator was relatable in many ways and it didn't have a neat tidy ending.

This was definitely a “wanted to like it more than I did” - mostly because I so enjoyed her first book, Evvie Drake Starts Over. This was … okay, I just didn’t really connect with the characters & plot.

Really enjoyed the audiobook, which is no surprise because it was Julia Whalen. I thought it was a good story. There was some mystery and intrigue along with reconnecting with family and old friends. It was also a little different because the main character liked her own space and she didn’t want to sacrifice that for someone else. Not a typical storyline, which I appreciated.

Just put it up - nothing wrong with it. Just didn't captivate me enough to continue with.

I dunno—I just kinda loved this. Fast becoming my favourite author in this genre … Or maybe I should say one of the only authors in this genre I like at all.
My favourite thing about her writing is how natural, real, and charming her dialogue is. Or maybe it’s just that the characters and their humour are so much like mine and my friends’. I actually laughed out loud at one point and I almost never laugh out loud at books, even witty books I love. Not that it was a hilarious kinda book, but the one part was just so bang on. And funny.
Anyway, it was a silly, light little story line, one that probably wouldn’t have held my attention if not for the charm of the writing. A bit of an unrealistic/naïve ending, but still satisfying and the right fictional ending for these fictional characters.
Just the perfect fun read. Can’t wait for her next book.
