He Did It Again

Christoph Paul has made quite a new for himself writing the most bizarre stories imaginable and GWH2 continues that twisted legacy in ways his previous efforts never could. He took the relatively simple beginnings we read in GWH and upped the weird factor by infinity; shark singularity, a literal Billary and Buttrons are just a few of the wacked out ideas he's crammed into the little, yet epic, tome. This is his best one yet.

Genetically modified great white sharks have decimated Congress and Hillary Clinton is now the president. Can even DMX help her get to Trump Island and stop the sharks once and for all?

Arthur Graham said this book was easily three times as crazy as [b:Great White House|29072426|Great White House|Christoph Paul|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1455205575s/29072426.jpg|49302296] and he was speaking the truth. Great White House 2 features billionaires hunting people for sport, cyborg sharks of the singularity, and Alexis Texas, among other things.

Chaos would be a great way to describe this book. There aren't a lot of books featuring Larry David that also contain references to the Predator movies and Hellraiser, not to mention human on shark sex.

As with the previous book, Graham and Paul do a good job capturing the voices of the politicians and celebrities they are lampooning. I did miss their Obama but Trump and the rest of the baddies made up for it. Things got really crazy near the end, kind of like witnessing a train wreck, a plane crash, and some kind of eating contest simultaneously.

3.5 out of five stars. I could really go for one of those pastrami-cream cheese omelets right now.

The bipartisan blood bath continues as Great White House 2 goes global. Christoph Paul bites again and he's brought Arthur Graham with him. It is NOT safe to go back in the water.
I had my doubts about Great White House 2 being able to compete with the cult success of the first installment. My reservations were quickly set aside as the plot was made fresh and grander in scope with the addition of global political figures in addition to the blow holes of Washington DC. Then flavor it with suicidal sharks of Ray Kurzweil's singularity and GH2 is a whole new ball game.
I'm not one for politically motivated books, even when they are a good like this one. But the Great White House series has been an exception. The story is not really one sided. There is an underlying view of all politicians being worthy of shark fodder. I think that's key. If the story slanted one wsy or the other and got soap boxy, I'd be giving low stars.
The pairing of Christoph Paul and Arthur Graham was seamless. It's nearly impossible to tell two writers were at work here. The book is a cleaner edit from its predecessor and the work is also a bit more grown-up, even for this B-movie teen flick of a flat out funny book. Read it if you're red or blue or green and anywhere in between.
