This book took awhile to get into and then the plot was just unexpected in almost a bad way. I was so excited about this book but the plot just didn’t make sense to me so it’s kinda disappointing. I’m eager to see where the next book goes bc a lot is going on!

THE ENDING?! WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN.

okay, so, this book was amazing!! although, at times it was a bit slow and boring, i couldn’t stop reading and was engaged the whole time.

i love all the characters so much! it was so nice seeing all my favorites from Shadow and Bone come back (Genya, David, Tamar, Nadia), and also see mentions of the Crows (my lomls).
obviously i love Nikolai, Zoya and Nina, and they were some of my favorites when reading the previous books so it was super easy to get back into it.

Nikolai’s storyline was so insane, amazing and heartbreaking all at once. his relationship with Zoya in this book was incredible, i love them so much 🥹
i can’t deal with the ending, though, like wdym it still wants to come back and is inside him… and don’t even get me started on him aka the last line of the book 🥲🥲🥲🥲

Nina, my love. her whole entire storyline was so full of grief and based on getting revenge for you know what, and i was on the verge of tears during her first couple POV chapters, like, gosh she’s so mentally and physically strong. i respect and love her so much. her relationship with Hanne was so cute, i’ve really grown to like her (although, her father can and should die) and even though nothing will ever be the same as them, i still ship it 🥰
