I saw the hype on tiktok and I saw the reviews as well. This is my first psycho thriller book and I was hooked right away. I got lots of notes blaming this and that and reactions mostly 😳😱🤯😮😲. This is an easy read for me. And I love easy reads. And maybe because the book will have its movie adaptation, I already have characters playing in my mind. I’m a big fan of Amanda Seyfried and I can’t wait to see her on the big screen again🄹

I think if you’re new to this kind of genre, this book is the best read for you. Though the story has a lot of plot twistsšŸ˜… I just love the book. I can’t wait to read The Housemaid’s SecretšŸ˜ This book made me realize that I love thriller genres too.

I avoided reading this one for a long time due to the hype, but when my friends started reading it at the same time, I had to jump in too.

This book was a pleasant surprise. I wasn’t sure what was happening and where the book was going, but I guessed the major twist
about Andrew being the actual bad person and not Nina
and a minor twist
about Andrew’s mom also punishing him the way that he’s punished the women in his life
. Even still, I really enjoyed the journey and thought the book was well thought out and well-written.

I like how the book was structured and broken up into different parts. It made sense with how discoveries are made.
I will say that when Millie locked Andrew in that room, I was so excited to finally get her backstory and understand why Nina chose her to be the housemaid. The way Nina and Millie got away with everything felt very unrealistic, but I wouldn’t have wanted either of them to get punished, so I’m not super mad about it.

This is my fourth book I’ve read from her. Two were two stars and the other was a high four, so I guess she really is hit or miss for me.

As of now, I don’t see myself continuing in the series. The ending alluded to where the rest of the series would go, and I’m not sure I want to follow that journey.
