The last 30% of this book is what saved it for me. I was ready to give this a one star before the book switched perspectives because I honestly kind of hated the book. Mostly because I hated Millie lmao. She lacked so much common sense. Truly, I felt like I was yelling at someone making bad decisions in a horror movie đ. The amount of times this girl was like âI probably shouldnât say thisâ and then said it anyway. Or when she kept speaking Spanish to a man she thought was Italian. I had to keep pausing my audiobook because I needed a minute. That said it was great at evoking an emotional response from me. The ending was quite good and lived up to what I was expecting from the book. This was my first time reading a thriller and it wasnât bad I just donât know if Iâll continue with this series.

Ela ignora e segue trabalhando lå, e tudo é muito tranquilo até ela perceber que as coisas não são como parecem.
Eu realmente gostei demais e no final fiquei muito surpresa de como nada era como a autora nos faz pensar.

The maid begins to work in a couple's house, and soon after starts to notice some weird behaviors from the wife and child, just like she believe the gardener is telling her to be careful.
She just ignores it all and keeps working for them, is all really chill until it's not.
I truly enjoyed reading this book and was really surprised of how nothing was like it seemed.
