It's a good book with twists and turns. Throughout the whole book I wondered what she went to jail for, and when it came out I wasn't really surprised. I'm excited to read the second book next!

Page turner, unexpected twists, 4,5 stars!!!

First half of the book it was difficult to find a redeeming quality in any of the characters. In the first half, Millie fat shames and fertility shames Nina, Nina is objectively horrible, Cecilia is a brat, and Andy has no personality other than being a Rich White Guy. The only decent person in all of this that I actually wanted to root for was Enzo the gardener. It got better after Part 2, but does not redeem Millie.

Would be a 3.5 if Goodreads allowed it. Glad I didn't get on the hype train about this book - to bo honest, I found it too simple and, above all, too obvious to really get into it. There were times when I thought it was going to hook me to the story, but it really didn't - and the ending was not as thrilling as it had the potential to be. Not quite sure I will want to read Freida McFadden again if her style is always like this.
