I couldn’t put this down; I ended up finishing it in two days. I loved the MC, and her struggles with anxiety really hit home for me, though I didn’t connect with most of the other characters. The romance felt rushed, and I strongly disliked the best friend. This would be a 4.5 or 5 for me if I hadn’t hated the ending so much.

I thought it was a pretty interesting book. I could understand what the main character was thinking about even though the thoughts in her head were all over the place. The main character had realistic relationships between her friends and family. In gave me a look into how American teenagers might be like.

Great description of mental health issues. It's all complicated, and no one experiences exactly the same manifestation. You can tell he put his heart and soul into making sure this was handled sensitively.

Reread this in preparation for the movie. I forgot how much I loved this book. About halfway through I was really stuck on the fact that Aza's voice is so thoroughly John Green’s voice, that I would literally picture him in the scenes rather than Aza, which really bugged me at the time. But by the end I didn’t care because this is a really beautiful and thoughtful book.
