I thought that Ava’s experience with OCD related to my own in a scary-realistic way. But it also gave me a unique perspective into the weird intrusive thoughts and rituals that I do as well. I also liked that they made her mental health journey ongoing and not “cured” at the end of the book, because for a lot of people, mental health is a lifelong battle that sometimes has no end.

This book is heavy, especially for someone like me who also is mentally ill, it was hard sometimes not to spiral as Aza spirals.

I love John Green’s prose and his understanding of the human condition. Well done.

Daisy sucks. Some of the characters felt very flat and the use of setting was sometimes odd but the dialogue and internal conflict make up for it.

This was an amazing book about friendship, anxiety and figuring everything out. I am one of John Greens biggest fans and this was one of his best books.
Although I don’t think she should have forgiven Daisy for being so mean about her.

I will have a better review later. For now, I want to say that John Green always wraps up his stories so beautifully.

The two things I liked about this book were 1. the characters and 2. the portrayal of ocd (esp considering it's written by green, who has ocd).
Otherwise I did not like much else. The pacing wasn't good; it did not pull me in like most books. I hated the ending. Also, the whole side plot (that is advertised to be the main plot in the summary) was lowkey unnecessary and could have just not been included. Or it could have just not been advertised as the main plotline.
