This is the first "Art of" book I've read, and now I want to read all of them I can get my hands on. One of the reasons I loved Tangled so much is because Rapunzel is so art-oriented. This book gives you great insight into how they constructed her character (as well as other characters) and where they found inspiration for the beautiful art direction in the film.

There's a ton of gorgeous conceptual artwork and fascinating behind-the-scenes stories. I'd highly recommend it for anyone who loved Tangled or anyone who loves storytelling in a broader sense. Very inspiring read.

So many fantastic drawings are crammed into this book that it's kind of disappointing that the movie is computer generated. Unsurprisingly Glen Keane's drawings alone are reason enough to buy the book, but there are plenty of drawings by other artists which are equally inspiring.
