An adorable novella where Jamie gets an opportunity to shine. For most of Us Jamie was working through depression and health issues. Here he gets to be more proactive, which I love for both him and Wes.

Kan kun beskrive denne bog med ét ord: nuttet!!

Perfekt afslutning på en dejlig serie, mit hjerte blev helt varmt af at læse denne søde novelle!

This short story is book 2.5 in the Him series. Chronologically, it also takes place after the WAGs series (spinoff featuring characters from Him/Us), but only slightly mentions the couple from Good Boy. You could listen to it before WAGs and be fine.

At only an hour, Bowen & Kennedy manage to pack a lot in for fans of the series. It’s a short so there isn’t a lot of opportunity for sexy scenes. (There’s some making out, but sex is closed door.) Blake is his adorkable lovable self. The hockey was fantastic and includes a big surprise for everyone. The title “Epic” is well deserved.

Narration:
Dual narration by Teddy Hamilton & Jacob Morgan is fantastic. They didn’t miss a beat despite having recorded the previous book 3 years ago.

Novellas are the most difficult to rate, especially when it’s 64 pages. Jamie and Wes are still cute and I love their relationship and the family they built around them, but it adds nothing extra to their story for me.

This is a brief, icing-on-the-cake coda to Him/Us, but SO much fun, especially the San Jose visit!

4.5 Stars!

Bowen and Kennedy have a way with this hockey universe, and it was pure fun and joy revisiting favorites Wes and Jamie! Established couple updates for the win!

And fucking Blake. His man child shenanigans were just the icing on an already delicious cake!
