The choose-your-own adventure bit was great, and the issue after that was still fun, but I got tired of Mole Man almost faster than Doreen and Nancy did.

Somehow I skipped this collection and when I read Vol. 5, it kept making references that I didn't get. When I tracked this down, it turned out to be possibly the best SG trade I've read yet!

Learn actual computer science/logic tricks and ASL!

See why the "Nice Guy" identity/trope is super messed up and they're not actually that nice!

Now if only this book wasn't so hetero...

Squirrel Girl has yet to disappoint, she has become one of my all time favorite not-so-famous Marvel superhero. <3 I can not wait for Volume 5 to come out!

I had to try this one twice - a Choose Your Own Adventure was interesting when I was in middle school but was not enjoyable. Thank goodness it was only the first story! Followed by a fantastic realistic story of pressuring yourself into dating, bad dates, and obsession while still keeping it light in the Squirrel Girl way. Nicely done, and I hope people push through if they feel exhausted by the first story. Definitely worth it.

Utterly delightful! And includes a standalone adventure where SG wins the day using computer science.

Read as individual digital issues.

Not the best outing. Don't get me wrong. Still Squirrel Girl, so still fun, but I thought the Chooseable Path adventure was an interesting idea whose execution just didn't pan out, partly because in trade paperback form, many of the arrows are lost in the binding. And the computer science lessons in the last story felt a little forced.

Mole Man as a Nice Guy was irritatingly genius, there was a primer on counting in binary disguised as a dream sequence, and there was a whole issue drawn as a Choose Your Own Adventure... not really sure how this one COULD have gone wrong for me.
