This one was significantly lighter than many of the other Longmire books I've read; a welcome bit of levity. I also found Johnson's style to be a little more direct, so easier for me to read and follow.

I can't put them down.
Humorous mystery with twists aplenty.

A great entry to the series, the mystery was good even if you could guess who did what most of the time, but there were a few twists. The characters were well written and filled out. It was also one of the funniest in the series I was laughing almost the whole way through reading.

Old George Stewart has had a couple of violent encounters recently when Walt Longmire finds him dead in his junkyard. The Walt Longmire mysteries have interesting plots and characters as well as stunning descriptions of their setting, rural Wyoming.

This was a more funny version but still with its usual bite & bravado.
