How the fuck did Sanderson manage all of that?

The man not only makes reading 400 pages in like, a few hours completely manageable but emotionally destroys me in the process holy fucking shit. I cannot express my feelings about this fucking book, I cannot express my feelings about the ending, I cannot express how much I loved this world and characters oh my GOD. I was hysterically sobbing for the last like 10 pages good fucking grief.

I am now even more excited and scared of The Stormlight Archives holy shit. I don't know what to do with myself, it will truly be a struggle to try and read other things after this absolutely perfect trilogy good lord.

Cool book. Felt artificially extended in the middle, but the ending was honestly incredible. I wish that part was longer, because it just felt rushed in its current state.

Spook's arc was incredible. I was kind of disappointed when it looked like he was only able to make a mark by gaining more allomantic abilities, but in the end he was able to utilize tin in a very unique way. It was a good message, that overwhelming strength isn't the key to success, its determination, bravery, and kind-heartedness.

Sazed is something I am conflicted on. I can understand his nihilistic attitude when his religions couldn't offer him hope, but the fact that he began believing again basically because of pragmatism and the need for hope is strange. I thinks its funny how Sazed's religious studies degree ended up being very useful, yet all his knowledge was scientific more than anything else. The 'truth' that these religions offered was devoid of anything metaphysical.

Idk those are the only strong thoughts I had. Good book. Bittersweet ending. Excited for the next books.
