I’ve loved this series. This is a 5star series for me. However, I feel like Spooks portions really slowed down the momentum of the book. I understand the importance of his segments but I feel like we could have went along with less of them. I love this characters so much.

Amazing ending to a fantastic book series. While slow at times, the climax/epilogue are tearjerkers and very satisfying. I absolutely love this series. 4.5 out of 5 stars(rounded up to 5)

So much apotheosis.

I don't know how to review the final books in trilogies if they're good.

It's good. Really good. It wraps up all the plot threads, answers the questions, and has enough apotheosis to go round.

Probably the most impressive of the three, but I like [b:The Final Empire|68428|The Final Empire (Mistborn, #1)|Brandon Sanderson|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1480717416s/68428.jpg|66322] more.

This is a good conclusion that leaves you satisfied and answers questions you forgot you had.

“Faith means that it doesn't matter what happens. You can trust that somebody is watching. Trust that somebody will make it all right.”

I was deeply impacted by this book. It was devastating and painful, and I haven't cried so much over a book in a long time. It provides a strong and beautiful finale to the amazing plot, culminating the characters' arcs, and offering a deep reflection on grief, loss of faith, sacrifice, war, and the balance of the world.

“The nature of the world is that when we create something, we often destroy something else in the process.”

When you start reading this series, it's important to not only support the characters but also have a larger perspective. You need to root for the end of tyranny, the prosperity and revival of Scadrial, the survival of humanity, and the triumph over evil. However, achieving these goals will require great sacrifices, so be prepared.

“People with passion are people who will destroy—for a man's passion is not true until he proves how much he's willing to sacrifice for it. Will he kill? Will he go to war? Will he break and discard that which he has, all in the name of what he needs?”

Vin and Elend's story in this series, and particularly in this book, is not focused on romance. This is why it is one of the most beautiful love stories for me. Theirs is a kind of love that is hard to find in modern-day fantasy romance - it's not just about "who did this to you", but about real love and devotion that's based on unwavering trust. They have the kind of love that allows them to read each other's minds. The way Vin was 100% sure Elend would not attack Fadrex while she was being captured. And Elend being 100% sure that Vin will come to save everyone in the end. They both believed in the best version of each other and it was exactly why they became them. And while the romance subplot was not at the center of the plot, their world would have perished if not for this power couple. While I was reading, I could sense the exact moment when they were saying their last words to each other, and I was CRUSHED. I'm sorry, but can someone please give me Sanderson's address? I need to send him a bill for the therapy and the huge reading slump that he caused me. But at least I'm thankful for that one peaceful dance.

“In the end, I stopped worrying about how strange you seemed. I realized that it didn't really matter if I understood you, because I trusted you.”

She understood him, as he understood her. It was an understanding that required love.

Sazed's arc is one of those that brought me the most pain. Being a person who absolutely lost his purpose, his way, his hope, and his faith due to his immeasurable grief and loss of a loved one. I just could feel his inner turmoil and confusion. The way he decomposed each religion to find the only true one, to find a way to believe again. And gosh, being in the midst of war without any hope and faith, I can't imagine. And I absolutely loved the way we were led to this beautiful conclusion of what faith is really about: “Why did they believe? Because they saw miracles. Things one man took as a chance, a man of faith took as a sign. A loved one recovering from disease, a fortunate business deal, a chance meeting with a long-lost friend. It wasn't the grand doctrines or the sweeping ideals that seemed to make believers out of men. It was the simple magic in the world around them.” And this wonderful man is definitely the best one for the job of reshaping and fixing the world <3

“It sounds to me, young one," Haddek said, "that you are searching for something that cannot be found."
"The truth?" Sazed said.
"No," Haddek replied. "A religion that requires no faith of its believers.”

My head still aches from all the tears I cried, so I'll keep the rest of the review brief. Marsh's struggle with Ruin was heartbreaking, especially when we were told of how exactly he became the Inquisitor. The scene where he was breaking all of Vin's bones was equally difficult to stomach for me.
On a lighter note, I really enjoyed Spook's POV. Despite the overall grimness of everyone's storylines, this was much lighter in contrast. Or could it be a Soothing presence of Breeze, but still. I was impressed by how Spook figured out the issue with the spikes and Ruin's influence on his own, and the way everything came together in the end was fantastic. This little thing detail helped Marsh to play his role in this story not only as a symbol of death and I absolutely loved that connection. The little romance subplot with Beldre was cute too. In a way, Sanderson was giving us a little hope for the next generation to smooth the upcoming blow.

The ending of the story was truly remarkable. It was perfect and incredibly impactful. Although devastated, I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. They really were TIRED. So it was fitting for the story to end this way. Although the series had some issues with pacing and wasn't perfect, this beautiful conclusion made everything worth it. I must admit that I didn't expect to be so emotionally drained and I don't think I will be reading this again anytime soon. It was just too much for me to handle. However, this will not stop me from constantly thinking about it.

“For now, I only wish to make a simple acknowledgment of the woman who held the power just before me.
Of all of us who touched it, I feel she was the most worthy.”

P.S. I’m sorry, but I’m going to slap everyone who says that Mistborn is the best way to start with Sanderson’s Cosmere. Because if I had started with it, I would be too scared or too depressed to continue. Thank God I started with The Stormlight Archive and I will be recommending to start with it until I’m frothing at the mouth. End of story.
