Won't even talk about the actual plot/plot twists, I guess those are up to taste.

But there are racist and ableist things in this book, and those are just very iffy. Ugh.

It just felt really flat. The characters were uninteresting, the murder was made out to be particularly gruesome but the content didn’t match, and there were a few genuinely cheesy/cringe moments that made it a non-starter for me. To top things off, there were sprinkles of misogyny & racism throughout the part I read so that just served to make an already not great book even worse.
