L'he trobat interessant en un principi perquè m'he focalitzat en analitzar l'Anne Lister. El principal problema que té aquesta biografía es que el títol en castellà no acota el que ens trobarem: la vida amorosa d'una dona que és va comportar com el que històricament s'ha atribuït a un casanova: home, que només pensa amb els seus genitals i en portar una vida benestant. Avís per navegants: A la tercera part destapa arguments de tres novel·les, si no he comptat malament.

What a read. What a trove of research.
Regardless of what you think about the life of Anne Lister, this is so well put together. Whilst it initially felt disjointed and didn't flow. As I progressed through, it was so very carefully delivered, weaving in the detail from Lister's own diary.
Lister's life itself is so interesting as well, particularly her travels had me fascinated.
