I've read this short story a couple times now and it's one of my favorites. The attention to monstrous detail, the larger-than-life characters, and the simple and not-so-simple love of one person for another add up to a haunting read.

Dark, uncomfortable, weird and original vampire story. Can totally see why it won those awards.

Hello uh in summary that was quite the story, it immediately drew me in and was compelling throughout! The prose was extremely haunting and well written, making it easy to visualise the events.

Interesting and creepy, but it felt a little underdeveloped to me - the ending packs a punch, but the way there could have used some more meat (pun unintended). (I gave both the same star rating, but I think I liked "The Fisher Queen" more.)

Dating sucks. Especially when you can hear every thought the other person is having about you.

Then you go and eat something that you probably should not have........

I feel decadent and filthy, swollen with the cruelest dreams I’ve ever tasted.

You can find this short, creepy little read right here.

Thanks to Tom for bringing this little weirdness to my life.

Interesting and unique little horror story.
It is actually funny how the horror of someone eating the liveliness out of another person while pretending to date is accurate in our current Tinder and social media days.
