This book is definitely different than my typical reads...but what initially attracted me to it was the summary, the cover, and the author/characters from the Filipino diaspora.
I gave it 3 stars because I wasn't able to figure out who committed the crimes that occurred in the book, so that element of surprise was nice. I'm not typically the type to read mystery books and now I kinda see why. The storyline seems to drag out and take forever to get to the point of who did the crime. I personally feel like the book could've been wrapped up in about 200 pages while the rest of the book was fluff and possibly used to distract from the reader figuring out who did the crime.
Overall, it was enjoyable but meh...
