Marissa’s twin sister Clare was murdered at the age of 16 and her murderer was never found, to cope Marissa turned to drugs and alcohol. 14 years later and now clean and sober Marissa needs to solve her sisters murder.
This is written from many characters point of views which i don’t normally enjoy, that being said it's an engrossing easy read with lots of twists and turns with a little romance thrown in.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC of this book in return for my honest review.

This book was pretty good. I'm giving it 5 stars because of the lack of plot holes and the style of writing, it's not super crazy or anything like that. But still good. It took place in the city I live in, so that was cool to experience - being able to picture all of the places Burton was referencing. The only thing I will say is, I feel like Alan was a red herring. lol.

Thank you NetGalley and Mary Burton for the ARC of this book

This book was captivating from the start and I was reading chapter and chapter obsessively to get to the truth.

The chapters were in multiple POV and quick and easy to read. The storyline was addictive and you couldn't help but feel so much for Marisa.

I really enjoyed this read!

Finished The Lies I Told by @maryburtonbooks ! I liked this read very much. From a certain part of the story I had a feeling of who the killer was, but didn’t know the reasons or if they had had help. I think there are quite a few mental health issues that were well approached. Overall it was a very nice read. I recommend it.

3.5

Took me quite a while to get into this book. I actually stopped and read something else for awhile. It picked up some after 50% but overall was just ok. The story was pretty predictable and just didn't flow very well for me. Not my favorite by the author.
