legendary lacked the magic but finale really knew how to brings it back. third book and i was still amazed by legend’s magic ability everytime. this book is just absolutely wonderful it really wrapped up the series perfectly. maybe i do wished some things shouldn’t have ended the way it did but it was still good regardless

I really loved this ending. And thankfully, this book finally made me love Scarlett. I feel like all of these characters grew so much from where they started in book one and they had such an epic ending, too. The entire story was beautiful and epic. I didn’t love it completely at first, but the more I read, the more I fell in love with the magic of everything and the incredible world building. This is an enticing world that anyone would want to live in. I certainly know I do. What it would be like to play games with Tella and be loved by Scarlett. What a fun and interesting story. I am so glad I finally pushed through for the background of the world. Now when I reread and continue once upon a broken heart, I think I’ll appreciate it more.

i genunely thought this book would be the best in the series but then, somewhere along the way, i just lost the plot (or the plot lost me idk).
not only did everything feel so out of nowhere but it also felt so vain (esp characters) as if i was reading a whole another book, not the last instalment of caraval trilogy. it just lost all its magic for me ig
i gave all three books the benefit of the doubt but as i read all of them i can safely say there is so much background info abt characters missing ???? like it's insane how much of it was just never explored so i concluded it was lazy writing that was the problem.
THE DIALOGUES ???? why did 70% of them feel like 10 year olds arguing
