Definitely one of the better mysteries of the series thus far. The story itself was entertaining if thoroughly unoriginal. I have to say that Kinsey is a pretty incompetent PI and really does nothing in the story except witness the mysteries solve themselves around her. Also, the self-righteous condemning of Fathers at the end of the book was unnecessary and annoying.

Reread this again and loved it all more the second time around.

I love this series so far until I hit F. For “f***ing boring”. BUT. then I got a little over half way thru and it started to pick up and get interesting. Not my favorite book in the series at all. BUT at the end of the day I did enjoy the plot and story line. But my goodness did I realize I hated slow burners.

I liked this one....enough to continue with the series.

My least favorite in the series so far. Still an enjoyable, fast read on audio, but the plot was more disturbing than most and has not aged well (TW: child rape). I guessed the killer and one of the plot twists which took some of the oomph out of getting to the end of the book.

This book really captures all the bad things about small towns. It was suffocating to read and I'm glad it is over.

I didn't like the cold case plot all that much, it's probably my least favourite among the books I've read in the series so far.

Not as good as E is for Evidence. Too many characters which look set up to be the "bad guy" and aren't. Whole set up is suspect to me.

The plot of F is for Fugitive didn't hold my attention quite as well as some of the other books in this series, but I liked it well enough anyway.
