This was a stunning collection of stories, each one rich with emotion and captivating characters.
I've seen some reviews noting how many of the stories are similar in subject matter/tone, but while some may see that as a negative, I actually thought it made the collection flow beautifully. It enabled the author to shine a light on specific issues faced by women and how they handle them in different ways.
The title story of the collection was one of my favourites, and while I didn't love each story equally. I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed each of them.

A collection of short stories that won the International Booker, but which I never really got on with even as their heart was very much in the right place, I found that the stories were somewhat alienating, and didn't much hold my interest, but that be more about me tbqh.
