I was invested, but didn't like the story with her daughter, didn't need that. Otherwise pretty good. I cried.
(but damn Sparks why do you gotta always kill one of your protagonists?)

I read the book after I watched the movie. So I already knew the storyline which made the anticipating how the story would end much less. What I did found interesting was the fact that in the book Amanda was much older than she is in the movie when she finds out about her mom and Paul. I think it gives more sense to the story. So over all it was a good read.
