A really good Star Wars story set immediately after "A New Hope," the title "Skywalker Strikes" presumably a play on what would be its sequel, "The Empire Strikes Back." The stories are well-told, and seem quite plausible in the canon of the Star Wars Galaxy. There are some interesting ideas, like the idea that Boba Fett is the one who finds out Luke Skywalker's name for the Empire, that Kenobi left behind something to help Luke on his journey to become a Jedi, and (apparently) a woman who claims to be Han Solo's (ex?) wife. I think I'll have to read more!

This was okay, and made more pleasant by really nicely done art--characters looked consistently like themselves and the angles and lighting seemed creative to my eyes, which don't often read comics. The story wasn't awesome, but was fine. Boba Fett was completely unnecessary. (Boba Fett is always unnecessary.) The Han and Leia sparring was fun enough. I guess I'll read whatever the followup is?

Cool

These comics are really enjoyable. Good storylines and good illustrations they are fun to read. I am looking forward to reading more from the Star wars universe.

this was a decent book. my only issue being that I kinda hate the idea of all this crazy stuff occurring between A New Hope and Empire. like I get you need it to exciting and everything but really the first time Luke faces off against Vader is at some random weapons base? and C-3PO gets taken apart before getting taken apart before Empire? like why are we reusing elements that happen later on so early on and why are we diminishing the awesomeness of the light saber battle at the end of Empire w/ the relatively weak one here. it's only when the book reaches outside of the familiar that it becomes fairly engaging. we meet someone from Han's past that has potential and I love seeing all the behind the scenes stuff w/ Vader (although that is covered in a lot more detail in the superior Darth Vader book) but overall this book is merely okay and not terribly necessary. I do hafta admit this may have one of the finest first issues in recent memories though, that reveal at the end was astonishingly cool. I would say this book is for die hards only but I dunno, I'm not super die hard and I was getting a lil frustrated.

Excellent start to the Star Wars comics from Marvel. I'm enjoying the story which takes place shortly after A New Hope. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series as it goes on, plus the extended series for each character (Leia, Vader, Lando).

No need to read any Star Wars comic before this.

The artwork for this one is awesome. The story is interesting- it picks up right after where Episode IV left off and establishes new plot lines and a few good twists at the end of the volume. I’ll definitely be checking out the other volumes in this series to see where the story takes us readers.

I finally picked up the Star Wars series that's following Luke, Han and Leia. I like it, but overall I think the Vader series is stronger.
