Despite groveling and whining over how long and tiresome it was, I actually really liked it. Yes, some of the parts in the first half were a bit boring, but the second half was so full of life and intrigue that it doesn’t really bother me all that much. Everything that I am thinking of to complain about, I can’t. The relentless morals, Amy’s entire character, all of it, it just grew on me as the story went on, whether due to improvement or familiarity, I don’t know. The best part—because I could honestly spew praises forever—is that all of the characters’ happy endings were authentic and believable for the character, instead of just filler (well, except for maybe Jo’s ending, but Louisa May Alcott can’t be blamed for that). This book made me feel cosy, content, warm…it’s just a whole encapsulating experience, honestly. I’m really glad I had to read it, because it was wonderful.
