I wasn’t found of some of the subtle sexist and racist sayings. However with older books you tend to expect them. Not by any means a bad book and worth the read.

As always a quick and fun read. However, after reading so many of her books it has become easier to guess the killer. At one point I was like "it would have been better if Dr. Leidner was the killer" and indeed he was. I really hated the way that he killed Miss Johnson it was too brutal and not like the deaths in her other books. There were many of its time elements so that did make this less enjoyable but overall I liked it just not as much as some other books from her.
