HOLY FUCKING SHIT. THE LAST SENTENCE OF THIS BOOK REVEALING THE MASTERMIND IS SO BATSHIT THAT IM TYPING THIS IN ALL CAPS. KYLE CRAIG YOU SICK FUCK.
Anyways, the book loses one star for me for the once again rushed romance that results in some sort of a loss. Alex has been through this shit way too much and I'm over it!

While totally in the vein of all other Alex Crpss novels, this one felt a bit too “showy” for me. A lot of “but wait, there’s more!” And not a lot of anything else that I love about the series. I was disappointed in the short ending to Christines storyline, to the quicky with Betsey, and the final page “plot twist” that just didn’t make sense to me.
I’m honestly a little glad that I can’t continue the series right now due to COVID, maybe I’ll have a better perspective on the next one when I pick the series back up again.

Well, it was definitely a James Patterson novel. Rinse and repeat. Quick read though.
I had to re-read this book when I started the Alex Cross series from the beginning. I had read it years ago and now I remember why I liked it so much. This is where things really start getting interesting. Hold your breathe until the last line of the book!!!!!!

No issues with the story or the narrator but the production was a bit bumpy... You could hear it when pieces of audio were edited in to a larger segment.
It was okay. Diverting as an audiobook but the ending disappointed me.
