I loved the first two books with the main couple, this one is just not grabbing me. May come back later to try again!

I love this series so much! This is the first book where we follow Zarrah's and Keris's POVs. I like them as a couple just as much as I do Lara and Aren. Their enemies-to-lovers journey is so good.

Like with the first two books, the writing, political tension, romance, action, and character development is excellent! The only reason this didn't get quite a 5 star is because there was a fair bit of repetition of scenes from The Traitor Queen. However, I understand that the time in the palace in Vencia is an important part of Keris and Zarrah's story too. The book left off on a great cliffhanger, so I'm excited to move right on to The Endless War.

Absolutely loved this book and the series as a whole! Danielle L Jensen is a genius!
