This book was the first time where I finished reading it, and just kinda hugged the book and thought about it for a minute. Definitely reflective and emotional. Yet, lighthearted all at the same time. Worth the read!
Loved this sweet, funny, sad, truthful, so hopeful book.
Currently reading for Mother/Daughter book group...can't wait to talk with the moms and girls about overcoming difficult situations!
I hate politics, but even though this book included an election as part of the plot, it was really enjoyable. It's about a girl who was left to be raised by her short order cook aunt. They move from restaurant to restaurant trying to make it. Finally they end up in Wisconsin and a small town with a big problem. It was definately worth the afternoon.
There is nothing more satisfying than a strong, compassionate protagonist, a compelling story, and a little romance.
It is definitely an easy read but it is lovely. A simple and sweet story.
Hope hates leaving places she loves. So when her aunt gets a job in small-town Wisconsin, Hope is extremely sad to be leaving New York City. She inscribes "Hope was here" on a nondescript patch of the NYC diner she's leaving, just as she's done every other place she's left, and gets in the car to head out west. Little does she know, small-town Wisconsin just may have the answers she's been looking for her whole life.
A charming story about a girl struggling to find her place and define her family. There are a lot of memorable characters and the diner setting is a fun one. I listened to the audiobook and the narrator's voice seems to fit the characters really well. A wholesome chick-lit read.

Well, I picked this book up a few years ago at the library. Needless to say, I could NOT put it down. This book left me emotionally scared, and still does to this day. But nevertheless, amazing!
