Pretty good anthology! Really only one story I didn't like at all. And one story I skipped lol, there's a random prose story with illustrations that was thrown in the middle and I feel like in a comics anthology that shouldn't be there. But I heard it was good so idk. But it's called "comics anthology" and that wasn't a comic.

I'm gonna review the stories seperately here

Radio Silence-3/5 A good intro to the anthology, but nothing too special. I liked how the story was told ig, idk how to describe it. It just utilized the medium of comics really well to tell a simple sweet little story.

Aperture- 4.5/5 Amazing! Also model x teacher is such a fun dynamic lol. Also a romance story with young adult(?) characters was great to see. I like reading about romance in that age range more. More realistic lol. Good art, the first page with the photoshoot looked so cool. I would honestly want to see a full length comic about these two. I think I just liked the fashion model aspect too much hah.

The Twenty-Year Celestial Guide to Love- again I skipped this one

Mix Plate-5/5 Excellent! Best story in the book. Also this was set in Hawaii and it was cool to see. I like seeing different cultures in comics. This story also had the best art in my opinion. Not too detailed but also does a really job at storytelling! If you don't read this comic, at least read this story.

Next Stop- 1/5 Easily the weakest story. I don't really like the shoujo manga vibe this was going for. Like I love manga yeah but when I'm reading western comics I don't really want something in the traditional manga style. The story was kinda bland, uninteresting, felt like a manga you'd make for fun as a budding cartoonist. Writing felt painfully bad too. Sadly I wasn't into this one, just very forgettable generic romance story.

Cannon Fodder- 3/5 The last two comics are fantasy/sci Fi stories. Good that there was variety and not just contemporary realistic fiction, but eh I wasn't into this one. Felt too long, and I didn't like the vague sci Fi war plot. Like who are they fighting? How does this world work? Just too much talking about hopelesness and wanting to see each other one last time idk. The scene with the battle was really effective though, wish the rest was like this. Also they have sex in the mech idk that was pretty crazy.

MageMeet- 4.5/5 The shortest story here but very cute! I liked this one a lot (fantasy nerd). I also want a full book of these two! It's very short but still it works very very well at telling a story in so little pages!

All in all, I'd recommend this anthology for mlm comics. Also it feels like it's for queer people rather than straight pandering. So I liked that.

This was a cute little anthology. Picked up the webcomic during a comiXology sale a while back but didn't get around to finishing it until now.
There was a wide range of stories and art styles here. I think my favorite was probably Mix Plate by Emily Forster. It took place in Hawaii and I just really enjoyed the family dynamics and struggles portrayed. My second favorite would have to be one that wasn't even a comic, but a short story with some accompanying pictures.
The rest were a bit too much of a mixed bag for me. Inconsistent or undeveloped styles and difficult panels to read. Still a nice little collection though.

The seven stories of this comic and prose anthology pay loving tribute to the BL genre that clearly feed the creator's imaginations and artistic styles. Each story is sweet in its own way but for me the standouts are Aatmaja Pandya's "Radio Silence", a love story between an artist and a radio DJ, and Emily Forster's "Mix Plate" about a couple bonding over food and family in Hawaii.

This is a lovely and inclusive anthology featuring boys loving boys and men loving men. It features seven short comics of different genres such as contemporary, fantasy and scifi. My favorite stories are by Kou Chen and S.M. Vidaurri. I was surprised to see a mostly text story with just a couple of art pieces by Shivana Sookdeo. I didn't expect it in what I thought as comics anthology.
