I enjoyed the dynamics between Reed and Sam and how love doesn't always have to be romantic love. I'm glad Sam figured that out and found Jeff.

Thoroughly confusing. Sam likes one guy, then he likes another. Suddenly there's meeting of families and more than a handful of gay uncles and who is who at this point? I honestly feel like there was a great story somewhere in all of this, but I couldn't make enough sense of it for it to really work for me.

I like the building of the Bennet Bay world. Jeff was a strong person. I enjoyed seeing how he was adopted into the family.

I liked parts of the story but overall everything (Sam falling in love, Jeff overcoming the past and current abuse, and so on) happened way too fast for me. :/

I had trouble keeping all the secondary characters clear in my head. This starts out lighthearted and then takes a turn for the dramatic, and it's so short and there's so much going on that there's not time to get to know the characters.
