One of the best Warrior Cats books of all time, in my honest opinion. Timelines may not line up 100%, but it's such a compelling read with genuinely heartbreaking moments that made me cry the first time I read it.
Graphic: Injury/Injury detail and Ableism
Moderate: Grief, Animal death, Body shaming, Death, and Child abuse
Minor: Xenophobia, Death of parent, and Abandonment

Such a good Super Edition! Crookedstar's increasing grief is just so heartbreaking. I wish we got to see more of the farm cats to be honest, but this was still just so good. I really liked how everything tied into Bluestar's Prophecy. We see the same exact scenes and everything, I thought that was so cute. Also, fuck Rainflower and Mapleshade.

When I originally read the first three series of Warriors, I never delved into the Super Editions, so this book was brand new material for me. I’m so glad I decided to include these this time around.
I absolutely loved reading Crookedstar’s journey. Seeing him struggle to overcome his disability, be neglected by his mother and clan, and still work so hard to become a fierce and loyal warrior was pretty inspiring. His journey is more heartbreaking than I ever would have thought and the parallels between the events of The Prophecies Begin and Crookedstar’s life make this read a worthwhile experience for anyone following the main arcs.
