I feel like I have such a complicated relationship with Rowlings writing, but I cannot stop reading these books.

Another great one in the series! Hard to read the parts with Robin in the cult. That ending gave me hope for Robin and Strike!

This book was too long. The story was definitely a page turner, but is was jam-packed with unnecessary repitition of brutally triggering events and abuses. There is also a very obvious theme of fatphobia throughout the entire book. I would not recommend anyone with an eating disorder read this book. I'm officially done with JKR/RG's antics in her writing. Yes, she writes exciting stories. However, she's so transparently problematic and I'm just exhausted of her. Sad I spent money on this book.

So much happens in these books, it can be hard to keep track of it all. I don't remember any of the previous books having such a long section explaining the truth behind the mystery/crime - had to really focus through that to understand it. Great development of Cormoran and Robin's relationship and their business partnership. Looking forward to the continuation of the series.

I have never been so disappointed…to have reached the end of the available books in a series. I love a mystery, and in true Galbraith fashion, this one is chock-full of evil possibilities that have you desperately trying to piece together the twisted puzzle right until the resolution. If you, like me, finish this book before book 8 is available, you have my condolences. This was the best in the series so far, and I will be pondering over all the characters and happenings until the next book is released.
