I love this book as someone who didn’t realize they were bi far later in life. There’s quite a bit of hip lingo in their too that left this old geezer,I’m thirty

Absolutely adorable and engaging YA romance with realistic LGBTQ representation! This book so expertly explores the nuances being a teen and messy friendships (and great friendships) and identity and navigating sexual fluidity. Imogen’s wryly funny first-person narration and the banter with her friends had me laughing out loud. My only complaint is I listened to it and I need a warning when a book is heavy on texting because texts are my least favorite thing to listen to! But honestly, I just loved this book. I feel like all the characters in this book explore some heavy topics in a really beautiful way. I love all these characters so much.

F*** Gretchen very much, and that is all.

— okay but not really all, because I also have to say her behavior was really triggering for me not in the specific example of having someone try to define or ignore my sexuality but I have known people who have this exact vibe of being so in touch with one particular issue they jump down your throat and intentionally misunderstand you and attribute more to your words than was actually there or attribute a different thing than you meant, and then I, like Imogen, have been too flustered and shy and worried I’m unintentionally doing something harmful that I haven’t advocated for myself properly, so while I was reading Gretchen steamrolling Imogen and telling her how 100000% heterosexual she was I was just screaming on the inside for Imogen to RUN and shout out her actual truth!

Anyways this was mostly cute but also *stressed me out*!!!!
