I really do love this series. The plot is wildly different from the plot of literally any other dystopia I’ve read. Yet, it is very much a product of the early 2000s. And that makes parts of it quite questionable. Still, it’s an interesting concept and a decent read

This book was just as good as the first book. I would highly recommend reading it. The premise for this book is what happens when food becomes scarce? What happens when the power goes out? What happens when the sinister Darkness called the Giaphage takes control of some of the kids minds? I don't really want to give more details due to spoilers, but it definitely is a quick read that is always making me want to read the next chapter and lose sleep!

Speed read it, like super speed read. I just wanted to know if anything actually happened. Like the adults coming back. The wall coming down. Drake finally getting his comeuppance. Nope, nope, nope. Did you know there are like a hundred books in this series? Okay, not really, but like 6. I don't have any writing complaints really (though 'brah' got reaaaalllly old in the first book) and I can appreciate the effort here, I'm just not the target audience, and that's okay.
