4.5 Kai and Banks - part two of the Devils night series and it didn’t disappoint. Although I loved the first one more, this one had its own kick to it. Kai, the sweetest of the crew and Banks, the bad ass unwanted daughter. They just worked! Twisted and cruel in so many ways. Not many spice scenes unlike the first one. The book did seem to focus more on Damon though so I wish it was more about the main two. I enjoyed that Michael, Rika, Will and Alex we’re still main character throughout this one and I’m glad the series seems to follow the whole group and not just focus on the new main characters. Damon’s mother was horrible and that hurt me inside. I didn’t like how it ended without a resolutions one way or the other. Hopefully book three clears some stuff up. But I didn’t want to put the book down so it wa say great read for me.

Kai and Bank’s story was kind of bland compared to the Micheal and Rika in the first book, but I learned a lot about Damon’s backstory and it was heartbreaking. Damon and Bank’s were leaning towards incestuous, but I was so relieved when it didn’t go there. The romance may have been blah, but telling Damon’s early life story was necessary to understand why Damon is the way he is.

Alter hat mich das Buch abgefucked 😂 ich fand‘s einfach so scheiße langweilig teilweise und war for real übel genervt.
Ja, ich weiß, ich hab trotzdem 3 Sterne gegeben, aber das hat Gründe. Erstmal muss ich aber kurz meckern was ich alles kacke fand. Erstmal… alles dauert unendlich lange… es hat sich so endlos gezogen, ohne dass wirklich was passiert ist. Ja klar, plot twist: Damon ist ihr Bruder und übel possessive as always und wer hätte es gedacht, Kai mochte sie schon immer bli bla blub. Große Frage - Warum kann sie Kai nicht früher sagen was Sache ist?
Zweiter Punkt: können Kai und Banks sich mal entscheiden ob sie sich jetzt hassen oder nicht? Dieses hin und her im Minutentakt war so fucking anstrengend.
Letzteres, die storyline war bis auf die letzten 100 Seiten einfach langweilig. Punkt.
ABER: Teilweise gab es Dinge, die echt wichtig waren, um so einiges zu verstehen. Also versteht mich nicht falsch, mit Damon stimmt so einiges nicht, aber man kann besser nachvollziehen warum er so ist. Und wer hätte es gedacht, dass er mal derjenige ist, der dass Buch nochmal bissl hochziehen konnte. Hätte ich nicht für möglich gehalten. Er hat das Ende doch nochmal spannender gestaltet, auch wenn Banks dann doch recht schnell Seiten gewechselt hat 🤷🏽♀️💁🏼♀️
Also die letzten 100 Seiten waren dann doch ganz gut und die Reihe bekommt den Bonus, dass das erste Buch so gut war. Und ich finde Banks und Kai nicht per se blöd, mag die eigentlich, aber war halt teilweise unnötiges hin und her.
Jetzt muss Damon es in Kill Switch wirklich rausholen…💪🏻
