LOVED. A top tier rom com and it’s Christmas centered!!!! Even better than Holiday Romance but you’ve got to read both to get the full experience!!!! This book was funny and sweet and felt realistic. The drama to sweetness ratio was perfect.
Dare i say this could have ended at 80% and I would’ve enjoyed it more? It was good, the relationships were believable and the conflict was a little different which was nice, none of that shite miscommunication. (Wait I just realised the main conflict of the story came from not communicating so edit that out) The ending kind of dragged a little and the dual pov kept confusing me because there wasn’t enough difference between their written voices so I had no idea who’s pov I was in a couple of times.
I've never read anything by Catherine Walsh but this had me sprinting for my Kindle for more of her novels.
As with most Christmas romances, this was sickeningly sweet in places, but I could cope with it because Megan and Christian were so charming and perfect together. The constant chemistry and authentic conversations made me never want to finish this. I loved the messiness of their families and how everything just sort of fit together in its own chaos.
I felt Isaac turned up maybe one too many times and it seemed to get a bit repetitive, but apart from that, I loved every second. A perfect cosy romance as the weather begins to turn colder.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for an eARC in exchange for an honest review, all opinions are my own.
