This was my first book by this author and I was not disappointed. The characters were lovable and very relatable. I loved the progression of their relationship! If you are looking for spice, it happens about 3/4 of the way through the book but the tension is there throughout. I really appreciated the dry/sarcastic humor of the characters as well - it's my favorite kind of humor. The relationship dynamics of the families were really well done. I found the animosity some characters had to be pretty realistic too. I enjoyed seeing the main female character decelop through all the hurdles thrown their way, and again I absolutely loved the relationship between the FMC and MMC. I especially loved how there was no 3rd act break up like we often find in these types of books. I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a sweet holiday read with substance and some spice.

LOVE LOVE LOVEEEEEE

You mean you can have a full length romance book that is funny, heartwarming, sexy, and moving and it doesn't have to have some wildly unnecessary third act drama?? I mean???

Absolutely loved the characters, loved the way their relationship progressed, loved the families, loved the story, just freaking loved it.

(As a side note, I accidentally read this one before Holiday Romance, which is technically the first in the series but I am currently reading Holiday Romance and it doesn't seem to have been a problem!)

What a lovely, cosy festive read! The kind of book you want to read wrapped in a blanket with a mug of hot chocolate.

This had just the right amount of humour, swoony moments, and family togetherness. I loved Megan and Christian; they're so caring and protective of each other, even before they get together. I loved how they consistently had each other's backs and I adored their slow, soft romance.

The only part I wasn't keen on was
the reconciliation with Sophie, but that's just because I am a petty, grudge-holding bitch lol.

Christian and Megan are both dreading going home for Christmas. Megan hasn't been home in years, not since the whole run away bride scandal. Christian hates the attention he gets as the only single one in his family. So, they strike a deal. Pretend to be in a relationship to help each other through Christmastime.

Another super cute Christmas romance from Catherine Walsh. I really loved Christian in Molly and Andrew's book, so I was excited to read his story. I enjoyed the banter and chemistry between these two characters. ALSO, I appreciated that this book was from both of their POVs!

I enjoyed all of the side characters that we got to revisit in this book, along with some fun new ones. I liked that Molly and Andrew's story continued within this book, but didn't overpower the main plot line.

The only thing I didn't like was that their feelings develop very fast.
Over the matter of weeks they are confessing their love.

Yes, this series is pretty predictable and trope filled. BUT of all the Christmas romances I have read, this series is definitely better than most.

Tropes: fake dating, forced proximity
