My favorite couple so far in this series I had so much fun with these characters.
I’m excited to read April’s story next!

OMGGGGGG!! Ahhhh I LOVED THIS SO MUCH! This is probably my new favorite and Noah is such GOALS!! And so hot. Jesus that handcuffing scene...I’m still fanning myself.

I’ve been on a Melanie Harlow binge and shes officially a new favorite author of mine. I LOVE this series and the small town, family vibes. It’s so homey and I feel as though I’ve found a home there too. I loved watching Meg and Noah slowly begin their affair because they can’t stay away from each other and then for it to deepen and realize they can’t be without each other..*sighs* SO BEAUTIFUL!!

And that ending!!! This series has some of the CUTEST AND SWEETEST endings ever! They always leave me with a huge smile on my face and butterflies in my tummy. I can’t wait for the rest of this series and in particular I’m really curious where Sylvia and April will end up..and with WHO? Because there is now a hot single guy at the farm...I can’t wait. I feel like I’m about to hit a book hanger because I’ve spent the last 48 hours binging all three of these books. I’m obsessed!!!

I can’t wait to go through allllllll of Melanie Harlows books!!! I’m so happy to start the year with a new favorite author!

3.5

My favorite in the series so far!! Such a great story and both characters were enjoyable. I’d love a follow up story to theirs. Like Melanie’s other books, this was also a quick read. Finished in several hours.

This book was amazing! I get the best kind of feelings from Melanie's books and this one was no different. They make me happy and keep me wanting more. I loved Meg and Noah together, they have this bond that everyone should envy. It was an easy relationship for them, they just clicked and I enjoyed every minute of their friendship turned into something more. My heart felt everything when things didn't go as planned and it was an emotional ride wondering how everything was going to go. I absolutely adored this book and all of it's characters! I can't wait to read Sylvia's story in Unbreakable!

The women in this series are definitely my fav! I love how they stand up for themselves, and fight for what they want.

Meg is a lawyer who lives in D.C. her long time friend/hero, Noah, is a cop in her hometown. He saved her from a near drowning accident when she was 16. They don’t see each other much, but will text here and there. Meg’s sister is getting married, so she goes back home to participate in the festivities. Her and Noah decide that they can’t resist each other while she’s home, and agree to a temporary no strings attached agreement

My Thoughts
I really loved being back in this world! I love Sawyer family and have really enjoyed following their stories. This wasn't my favorite of the series (Irresistible still holds that title) but it was a really sweet (yet steamy!) friends to lovers romance.

I felt like this was one of the best depictions of friends to lovers I've read in a long while. I really felt like these characters had a history and close relationship despite not getting a lot of details on page. They had good banter and lots of sexual tension. I liked that leading up to their romance, there wasn't some dramatic external factor keeping them apart. They simply had a platonic relationship because neither wanted to risk ending their friendship.

This series always makes me wish I had sisters. The Sawyer sisters have such an amazing bond! I love how they are always there for each other, despite the distance, and willing to lend a shoulder or ear whenever they're needed. They support each other, despite dealing with their own struggles, and there is never any jealousy. I'm always for strong female relationships.

The chemistry between Meg and Noah was so good. There was so much tension leading up to them getting together and I really wanted these 2 to find a way to make it work. However, I was a little turned off by Meg's sudden willingness to give up her career once she thought she could have a relationship with Noah. She's depicted as a very driven, career oriented woman in the beginning so it felt like a very out of character decision for her.

I really liked how Noah's character cared for his twin bother, Asher, who has cerebral palsy. I loved that representation! While I can't speak for the accuracy, I felt like it was handled with so much respect. Asher was such a strong character with a well rounded personality and actual goals and depth.

However Noah's stubbornness and hypocrisy definitely grated on me near the end. But what irked me the most, was his out-of-the-blue change of heart. He spoke to person after person and insisted he didn't want a relationship. But one seemingly random conversation with his sister had him singing a new tune. Like with Meg, it felt sudden and really out of character. I would have preferred for Noah to have gradually come to those realizations throughout the book rather than all at once.

Overall this was another sweet, feel good romance in this series and I can't wait to read about the remaining 2 Sawyer sisters!
