This is definitely a slow build. The writing is brilliant and character development pristine has expected. Main character's naive put me off in parts, but the ending was unexpected and wonderful.

This was the first book I have read from Moreno-Garcia and I now want to read everything she has written. This was a such a great thriller and it had this noir feel to it that I haven't read in a lot of books that I absolutely loved. I really liked the main character, Viridiana, and I liked seeing the journey she went on in this book. Also, this book would make for a really great film! Overall, I gave this 4.75/5 stars and as I said, I will be reading everything Moreno-Garcia writes!

Edit 8/14/20: I read this book 4 days ago and I have not stopped thinking about it since I read it. I loved it so much. Because of this I have to change the rating from 4.75/5 to 5/5 stars and I am going to buy a copy so I can read it again soon!
