Book 3 of The Vers Podcast Series follows Marcus & Kai. Marcus is part of the Vers Podcast with the MMCS from the previous books, and Kai works for Declan (MMC from book 1). Kai is in need of a place to live so Marcus offers him a room in his house, there has been flirting and tension between these two throughout the previous books so you know the forced proximity isn't going to need long to push these two over the edge and bring them together.

Another FAB read by Riley I really enjoyed the characters, story, pacing, banter, emotion, and spice of this book. I really liked their interactions and how they complimented each other's personalities so well that the progression of their relationship felt very natural. This just felt like a warm hug in book form to me. I honestly just had a great time reading it, Riley seems to have a knack for writing well rounded, diverse, authentic characters and balancing that with a story that has humour, depth, heart and spice. 🌶🌶🌶

MY BELOVEDS!! GOD I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. Marcus my boy he loves so hard and I love how much everyone who cares about him can see it. He doesn't see how truly kind and gentle he is and im just like ahhhh!!! He's a bit bossy and no nonsense but not really bc he's friends with the silliest of people lmao. He adores Corbjn and the friendship is everything. Kai my independent boy. He's actually so relatable and someone who doesn't want to seem like a failure.  To want to have something and grow and be independent and strong. He's stubborn and kind and knows how to push Marcus. Actually beyond everything, I love that they respect each other in the aspect of helping and that kai doesn't want to solely rely on Marcus.Though it's not in it as much I do love Declan and Kai's friendship a lot it's so sweet. The family dynamics in this one ahhhhh. God I love them

Finally two main MCs that are POCs. Loved the book immensely.

"I'm with you because I love you and I would always choose you."

This is probably the best book in this series so far.

Daddy Marcus and his baby boy had my heart melting the whole book.

Kai and Marcus

I really enjoyed this book. Kai was just the perfect level of sassy snarky and sweet. He was everything Marcus needed and vice versa. I am so excited to see how they interact in the next book. This was a wonderful addition to The Vers Podcast Series. Corbin has his story next and I am so thrilled to see how that pans out with Spencer. Also on a other note, the model on the cover of this book swoon worthy.

If you made it here, halfway through The Vers Podcast series, you most likely already love Marcus, the group's caretaker and Kai, Declan’s flirty, sassy, and headstrong bartender. At first glance, they don’t have anything in common … but when they end up living together they take care of each other in the most natural way.
We’ve got glimpses of Marcus’ bossy, sometimes grumpy but incredibly caring nature in The Loner and in The Romantic. Now we'll see just how far he is willing to go to care for his friends … and their employees apparently. Young Kai never made a secret of the fact that he wants to get into Marcus’ bed and pants. So when the opportunity presents itself and Marcus talks him into a roommate arrangement, he thinks maybe it will finally happen. Marcus doesn’t want a relationship so the only way he agrees with Kai is because of the short time limit on their fun. There is something in Kai that draws logical and cool Marcus in, he cannot help himself but talk about his feelings and insecurities. Their hook-up moments are out-of-this-world explosive, but more so Kai can really see Marcus for who he truly is. I loved all their meaningful conversation and the ones Marcus had with the other Vers boys. I admired how Kai took care of Marcus in his own unique way and how Marcus supported Kai in everything he could. They are just absolutely perfect for each other. Expect LOTS of banter, pining and overthinking, great hugs, and some family drama.

Riley comes back with more of what makes the Vers Podcast series so beautiful, found family and beautiful everlasting friendships. As with Parker and Declan, Marcus and Corbin make the second set of best friends within the core group of friends. Marcus & Corbin affection for each other is apparent showing us how sweet Marcus truly is when he opens up to people.
Now its their turns to find their match, bring in feisty flirty Kai who brings lightness to Marcus. The banter and the chemistry is top notch even when Marcus is refusing to admit his feeling you can tell these two work great together.
Sweet cocky charming yet lonely Corbin will be wrapping up this series with the Charmer and cannot wait for him to join his friends in finding their matches.
