Omg - I just need to get to the end of the series already! These twists and turns and close calls are killing me.

This book's only redeeming quality was the sexual tension. It wasn't even smutty, so if you're looking for outright smut or at least one explicit scene in your Romantasy, this book is not that book. But the tension and mutual lust are the only things that really made this a fun read– the plot and the world building had the structural fortitude of a blob of jello.

alright whores i’ll keep this short

wrath to emilia: i don’t give a fuck about you
wrath: [knows she’s left-handed because she favors that hand when cutting bread or sipping wine, knows what she might like before she even tries it, takes care of her while she’s sick, loves her cooking, etc.]

wrath and emilia served and FUCK that cliffhanger

i can’t be the only one that thinks envy is a little shit and loves him for it (c’mon he has a dimple). also, emilia has lost memories, confirmed. excited for the third book!

Okay. Well, it was what it was.

Plot holes? Yes.
Quick and simple resolutions to complex issues? Yup.
Lack of detail? Most definitely.

But it was entertaining and decently written. I just wish there was more. The author has a really solid story, I just wish it was flushed out a bit more.

pacing is what unfortunately was the downfall of this book because it was all over the place, but not in a good way. and the repetitiveness surely didn't help.
