A quick but lovely poetry collection. I especially loved a few of these. As someone who found The Prophet to be difficult to understand but meaningful when I did understand it, this was lovely and much more digestible. I will be returning to these poems and recommending them. I love reading and thinking about love

If you've never read Gibran's short poems "On Children" and "My Friend", please Google them right now. I don't usually choose to listen to poetry on audio, but I enjoyed this author's translation and the narrator's performance a lot. Gibran's admixture of the Sophic & Christian traditions was interesting, even if some of the references were lost on me.

Honest sentiments alright, but a bit too mushy to my taste.

Little book of jesus and churchy wisdoms. But glad got a couple thoughts out of it.

Best bits.
-Giving gives the purpose to the giver. If you give out of joy, then joy. Give out of pain, the recive pain, give out of sufference, sufference. Give out of guilt, guilt.
-Those who give a serpent, maybe can only give a serpent. People can only do what they can do. Can only help how they know to help. So anger that their help is not aligned with the help you need, is a missunderstanding of the capabilities and truth of the situation.not everyone is a genius or selfish trying to hurt us, most are just incapable.
-the silence of loneness reveals our naked selves. Its good to practice solitude to become comfortable with stillness and at peace with nature.
- needs to write. knowledge of music of words, the art of being artless and magic of loving your readers are needed to write.
- i loved you much, that one were all, and that all were one.
