A book that leaves you thinking afterwards. The main character is awful but written to where you are invested and want to find out what happens. It begs the question of do criminals deserve human rights and the choice to choose?

I felt like the slang language the main character uses is a bit over the top. I also feel like most of the book is just him doing awful things. I love the second half of the book, though, when he doesn’t get to be an absolute villain all the time. When he is just being his normal awful self, I did not love the book

A disturbing story. The 21st chapter (omitted in some publications) is a must and ties the book together. Uses a lot of Russian-based slang, so it's easier to read if you know some Russian.
